A Glimpse of the property
Designed by contemporary award-winning architect Manuel Aires Mateus, Grandola House is a one-of-a-kind property close to the traditional village of Melides in Portugal. Clad in grey timber and built with concrete, these structures cut a dramatic shape against the rolling hills around them, blending natural materials with modern architecture. The main house rises from the hillside as the valley drops away behind it, offering stunning sunset views across the ocean from the main living room.
The main house is comprised of the shared living room, a kitchen fully equipped with Miele appliances and an en-suite double bedroom. Two further bungalows have en-suite double rooms with their own outdoor terraces and the final bungalow on this property has an en-suite twin. There is also a beautiful outdoor pool and poolside sun deck to enjoy, where guests can take in the stunning views and scents from the nearby lemon and orange tree orchard.
The property itself offers privacy and tranquility however, for guests who want to see the local area, the nearest beach is only ten minutes’ drive away, with Melides at six km away and the larger town of Grandola only eight km away.
Grandola House is a truly exceptional design-centric property and offers a peaceful getaway in the warm climes of sunny Portugal.
Please note that a minimum three night stay is required throughout the year, with a one week stay required during the high season.
