Located in a 32,000-acre wildlife sanctuary, the area is home to endangered black rhinos, lions, leopards, elephants, and buffalo. Explore the area by Land Rovers, on horseback, or even mountain bikes. Adrenaline junkies can jump off the escarpment on a tandem paraglider, or for a more serene experience, the ranch is perfect for picnics, sun-downers on Pride Rock (the original inspiration for The Lion King) and bush dinners.
The main lodge, set in verdant gardens, has a beautiful infinity pool from which guests can watch elephants wandering their well-trodden path to the nearby watering hole. There is a spacious traditional dining room serving fresh produce from the ranch, and sofas and armchairs surround a huge open fireplace in the living room. Eight romantic cottages are scattered around the central lodge: four have large double beds and four have twin queen beds and all have luxurious bathrooms, open fireplaces, and private verandas.
Borana Lodge is designed to work in harmony with the landscape while ensuring the ultimate experience of luxury and comfort.
