Once a former Victorian Hunting Lodge, the property boasts five bedrooms and two bathrooms in the main house and a further two bedrooms and one bathroom in the self-contained cottage to one side of the drive. The house is formally furnished whereas the cottage is more quaint in style and decor. The gardens are large and quiet facing south west, with beautiful views across the rolling Cotswold hills.
Inside, the entrance hall features a log burning stove and leads down to the kitchen dining room, seating up to 13 with an extended table. French doors open onto the front patio with a fountain as its centrepiece. There are two further reception rooms, the formal drawing room with baby grand piano, and off of that the library / television room with a comfortable sofa. The drawing room opens out onto a terrace with views over the large private gardens, alongside the 50 private acres perfect for walks and picnics. An outdoor swimming pool is located in the rose garden behind the cottage.
The house sits on a quiet lane leading into the village, and whilst the village itself does not feature a pob, the house is within walking distance of The Mount Inn in Stanway. There are horse riding stables nearby and great walks – and rides – close to the house including The Cotswold Way & The Winchcombe Way. The famous market town of Broadway is only 2.6 miles away.
