Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
A Glimpse at the property
Close to a bend in the Mara River in Tanzania lies the Lamai River Camp. This off-the-grid and eco-friendly camp protects local species and supports African artisans and craftsmen, offering an authentic and sustainable safari experience.
Located in the Northern tip of the Serengeti National Park, this unique area is renowned for its wildebeest crossings and varied animal species found in the area. In a remote area close to the Mara River, the Mara River Camp is an ideal location for any safari experience.
The Camp has a total of 6 bedroom tents, 4 of which can sleep 2 people and 2 of which are family tents for up to 4 people. In the centre of the camp lies the central lodge, which has been filled with produce from African artisans and craftsmen with a chic and modern feel. Next to the central lodge lies the stunning outdoor pool and deck area, overlooking the Serengeti.
There is also a real focus on sustainability here, as everything from the food to the solar power is designed with the local environment in mind. Singita also works on projects across its three reserves to protect the local species and prohibits all poaching on their lands.
