Drink in the unending landscapes from Moat Cottage, a delightfully restored Tudor farmhouse perched high up on the hill surrounded by parkland and its very own moat.
Located on the 5,000 acre Wilderness Reserve, this quaint, pink, thatched-roof English farmhouse rental can play host to up to 12 guests across its 6 bedrooms, one of which is housed in a boathouse above the moat. Each room has an ensuite, and some, indulgent roll-top baths. Downstairs there is a large open plan kitchen and dining room complete with a large island, wine fridge, and butler sink. Perfect for entertaining, the estate also has a team of chefs available to serve up locally sourced fare any and every kind of way.
The Moat Cottage welcomes guests year round. In the summer, outdoor-enthusiasts can explore the area by bike, enjoy a spot of fishing or play a game of tennis on the estate’s private court; sailing, golf, and waterskiing can also be arranged. For cooler weather, look no further than the cottage’s inglenook fireplace in the beamed sitting room, then there’s the hot tub for a laidback evening beneath the stars.
