Contemporary in style, this stunning loft is right in the heart Zermatt, a short walk from the main Klein Matterhorn ski lift and the village center. Even with its central location perched on the edge of the river, this property still has stunning views of the iconic Matterhorn. This masterpiece fuses historic wooden architecture of the ancient adjoining chalet with contemporary style. To complement the overall design of the building, each fitting and piece of furniture has been lovingly created in a studio in the village.

The property boasts 5 bedrooms in total and is entered at street level; down the steps you will find the hallway and cloakroom. The hub of the property is a large and bright open plan kitchen, living and dining area. This area features an abundance of character, from the open wood fire to the dining table that can be winched to the ceiling, to create even more space for drinks and dancing.

Surrounded by glass, there is a hot tub located at the side of the main living room, in arguably the best vantage point of the property for surrounding views. Then, as if by magic, with the touch of a button the glass wall opens and it’s in the outdoors.

On the entrance level, there is one twin/double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a wrap around balcony. There are two further beautiful bedrooms, both en-suite, located at the top of the property. Downstairs holds a further bedroom with en-suite shower room, balcony, a guest toilet, a small hammam and a sauna, as well as another entrance to street level.

Stairs lead up to the fifth master bedroom with separate shower room, which are located in the adjoining glass-encased, converted 700-year-old chalet which showcases the old traditional beams. This bedroom has direct access to the terrace and hot tub area.

For those who want to exercise off the slopes there is a gym, equipped with a treadmill, a cross trainer and a weights installation with views over the river. Or if you want to relax and sit back, the chalet’s TV room is a great place to escape to with a film. On this same floor you will find a kitchenette and separate shower room as well as a fully equipped ski room complete with drying cupboards.

This chalet is sold on a catered or self-catered basis.
