Arijiju

Designed and built over a ten year period, the outstanding Arijiju is opening its doors for the first time. A fantasy location surrounded by rolling hills, forests and deserts, where guests can sit outside and watch the stars at night twinkling down on the Kenyan wilds, it offers an escape from reality. In fact for those perfect nights, sleeping under the stars can become a reality in the ‘Constellation Suite’.

The stone building takes inspiration from Ethiopian monasteries; its elegant structure is cut directly into the hillside, as though part of the earth itself. Interior designer Maira Koutoudakis is clearly influenced by these natural elements as her earthy colour scheme is prevalent throughout the five suites at Arijiju. These five suites sleep up to ten guests, across three en-suite doubles and two en-suite twins.

Although priding itself on health and wellness, with a wealth of spa treatments available and up to 4 hours’ worth of treatments included in your rate per day, the property also has a number of other activities for guests to take part in. Dive in the pool, play a game of tennis or explore the wilderness by foot or car with Arijiju’s talented guides and spot some of the wildlife that roams the nearby plains.
